No-Roll Sugar Cookies

1 cup margarine
2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
5 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup vegetable oil

Cream together margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Mix together well. Add oil and mix until well blended. Dough will be sort of stiff. Form into balls and flatten with bottom of sugar dipped glass. Can also roll out and cut with cookie cutters.

Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes.

I love to make these... I'm so impatient when it comes to waiting for sugar cookie dough in the refrigerator. They make great cutout cookies for any holiday!
